Scott Willis went to Mexico to find the perfect tequila and returned to Austin with Tequila 512. While at the Butler Bros, I redesigned the Tequila 512 label to capture the spirit of hand-painted signs in Mexico and the attitude of Austin. The volcano with the agave plant exploding from it was an "a-ha" moment inspired by the local volcanic spring water used to make the Tequila. To launch the new brand the Butler Bros team came up with the idea of creating limited set of 512 boxes of tequila and sent them to influencers around Austin. I had the opportunity to design the box which was custom screen printed and signed by the founder.
